Hose Clamping, Hose Fitting, Hose Fabrication and Hose Repair Applications
Stainless banding is used to secure hose fittings and couplings in chemical plants, refining, oil fields, food processing, fire control, fuel pumping, water treatment, waste treatment, and the oil / gas transport industries. The hose distribution/fabrication industry also uses stainless banding extensively.
The level of corrosion in the environments dictates whether 201 stainless, 300 series, or 316, 317, monel or inconel materials are used. Stainless or alloy buckles and the PMB 001 CrankTite Tensioning tools are also used depending on the application. Stainless buckles are used since the tension requirements are high. Buckles are used with the heavy .030” thick stainless banding ( 1/2 ", 5/8" or 3/4 " ) or the 3/8" x .025" type 201 stainless banding. Stainless banding offers a long service life and a strong, secure, versatile, flame resistant, uv resistant, temperature resistant and corrosion resistant method of securement.
